Vipi joo?—As the young people of Kenya would say. I am thrilled to welcome you to our website. My name is Steve Kuert. Some 26 years ago I was born in the city of Nairobi, Kenya. Besides furloughs every four years, I spent the first 18 years of my life in this land.
My family has a deep love for the African people. In fact, my parents are still serving as missionaries in Kenya.
After graduating from high school at Rosslyn Academy, I enrolled in Oral Roberts University in the fall of 1998 where God radically changed my life.
In 2002, I returned to Kenya as a Missionary Associate working with college students. It was a tremendous time! For the last two years, I have resided in Springfield, MO working for Global University as I completed my Master’s Degree.
In April of 2006, I was approved as a Missionary In Training (MIT) with Assemblies of God. My assignment is to reach the youth of Burundi.
I invite you take a journey with Jerry Falley and myself—a journey that examines God’s passion for the nations. This site will present God’s personal direction in our lives as we endeavor to see HIS passion fulfilled.
The Assemblies of God appointed Jerry and Maxine Falley as missionaries to Nigeria in June 1960. They are alumni of Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri. Jerry earned an MA in Missiology at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California.
Following three years of pastoral ministry in Kansas, Jerry and Maxine served for 33 years in Africa and taught Missions seven years at North Central University, Minneapolis, Minnesota and two years at Central Bible College.
The Falley’s children, Greg and Cindy, were born in Jos, Nigeria.
Jerry’s call to missionary work in Africa began upon hearing a message by missionary Margaret Jones on “Priorities” in the summer 1957. Maxine’s missionary call began with Jerry’s question, “Will you marry me?”
The passion of their hearts has been to “please the Lord in every way” (Colossians 1:10) and to fulfill the command of Christ to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
