All Good Things Must Come to an End

This past Sunday marked a very special highlight in my first itineration cycle- my last service in the mountains of Colorado!!!  The church I spoke at has 3 services - one on Saturday night and two on Sunday morning.  I was asked to speak at all three.  This was quite challenging to say the least! However, God is faithful and the story of Jonah came alive in my heart.  God touched many peoples lives.

After concluding my message on the “Man who Ran” the thought suddenly occurred to me: “that’s it, you’re done”. What a feeling of gratitude and relief!  After traveling over 35,000 miles by car, 25,000 miles in the air, and speaking at close to 120 churches, itineration is over. I almost don’t know what to do with myself - thirteen states later I am ready to head to Africa!

To God be the glory all my one-time financial and monthly goals have been reached.  God has provided in the most incredible manner.  The pastors and people in the churches I have spoken at have been most gracious and incredibly generous.  Looking back in summary, I am shocked to see what God has done during this time.  His protection, direction, anointing, and favor have been evident!

Several people have asked me about my experience this past year.  “Was it difficult?”  I would have to say yes.  At times it was incredibly difficult.  “Was it fun?”  Again I would have to answer that at times it was tremendously enjoyable. Sleeping on the road, living out of your car, traveling non-stop, answering the same questions a hundred times.  Yet, through it all I firmly believe God calls, God challenges, and God mobilizes people to be apart of His purposes in the nations!

If I could pinpoint one deciding factor in this experience I would have to emphasize prayer.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there have been several friends and pastors who have prayed for me almost daily.  I am humbled by their faithfulness and  willingness to believe in me.  I am challenged by their vision of what God is going to do in Burundi.  I am inspired to step out in faith for the next journey ahead- Burundi here I come! Overall - itineration is a great experience when approached with the right attitude!
