Itineration is a great chance to travel and meet new people. You never know what to expect.
Mcalester, Oklahoma is located in the Eastern part of the state. This past month I was invited to be part of Mcalester First Assembly of God’s first missions convention. Here I met Ron and Cindy Masten-who serve as the administrative/missions pastors of the church.
God gave Ron a vision of building a chopper for missions. Over the summer, Ron and several God-given contacts began working on a custom design chopper. After long hours, complicated wiring, and detailed finishing, the bike was completed. From personal experience, I can testify that it is sweet!
Ron and I spent several hours trying to get the chopper onto the platform of the church. This was certainly not an easy task! I quickly learned that choppers are better driven than pushed. That evening the congregation in Mcalester was able to see the bike for the first time. It was a great moment.
The vision is to auction the bike to highest bidder later this fall. All the proceeds from the missions chopper will then be sent to Speed the Light and Light for the Lost. Ron and Cindy believe God to be able to make a sizable contribution to the cause of missions!
It is inspiring to see God place unique dreams in people’s lives to be a part of reaching the nations for Jesus. Way to go Ron and Cindy.
